A101 arose for the same reasons most companies arise: a group of professionals trying to solve a specific problem. In this case, the problem is one of the biggest in our country today: opioid abuse.
Based out of Wilmington, North Carolina, A101 was created on the front lines of opioid abuse. After being named the number one city for opioid abuse by Castlight Health, the founders of A101 decided it was time to start taking on this epidemic.
What we do
With the use of technology, A101 can connect our patient-members, from all over the country, to doctors near them for treatment of opioid abuse. We understand that the majority of abusers are still employed, active members of the community, and are secretly dealing with these problems. That’s why our software allows for users to anonymously go through treatment and recovery without having family or employers know. Technology including telemedicine and e-prescribing, allow our members, assisted by our doctors, therapists, and the A101 team, to pursue sobriety without having to worry about being seen in an addiction care facility.
Addiction Care 101 (A101) offers software that assists doctors in performing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for people with prescription opioid and heroin use disorders. Medications, such as Suboxone, are used to prevent the patient from experiencing “opioid withdrawal” while they get the necessary treatment, provided with telemedicine, by our network of doctors and therapists, to assist in their recovery.
